Activate Remote Desktop Licensing / Terminal Server Licensing

This is for 2008 R2 and assuming you already have remote desktop or remoteapps set up.

• Go into the Server Manager to add roles.
• Roles – Remote Desktop – Add Role Services
• Choose Remote Desktop Licensing and install it
• Open the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager and it should automatically pull in the server
• Right click and activate the server
• Install the licensing in the same wizard by entering the key in and activating it

You may need to go back into the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration and change the mode to either device or user and then make sure the Remote Desktop License Server is chosen properly.
